Welcome to kristenjohnsoncounseling.com (the "Website"), operated by Kristen Johnson Counseling and Consulting, LLC ("I," "me," or "my practice"). By using the Website you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. No counseling relationship

The Website provides general information about my practice and services. Visiting the Website, reading its content, or sending me a message does not create a counselor-client relationship. A professional relationship begins only after we have both completed my intake process and signed the required agreements and consent forms. Until then, please do not assume that information you send me is confidential (see Section 3).

2. Not professional advice; emergencies

Content on the Website, including any blog posts, resources or downloads, is for general educational purposes only. It is not counseling, therapy, medical, legal or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care tailored to your situation.

If you are in a crisis or having an emergency, do not use this Website to reach me. Call 911, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or go to your nearest emergency room. I do not monitor messages sent through the Website in real time.

3. Contacting me through the Website

Web forms and regular email are not secure channels. Please limit your messages to basic details, such as your name, contact information and general interest in services. Do not send private health information, details about your history or symptoms, or time-sensitive requests. See my Privacy Policy for how I handle information collected through the Website.

4. Consulting services

Consulting engagements are governed by a separate written agreement. Nothing on the Website is an offer that you can accept to create a binding consulting contract.
