Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might be wondering before we meet.
-
I specialize in working with women experiencing anxiety, overthinking and perfectionism, especially during life transitions including the perinatal period and perimenopause.
-
Perinatal mental health refers to emotional wellbeing during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Many women experience anxiety, mood changes and overwhelm during this time, and therapy can provide meaningful support.
-
Absolutely! Perimenopause can bring emotional and hormonal changes that impact mood and anxiety levels. Therapy offers support, coping tools and a space to process these transitions.
-
Not at all. I work with all women navigating anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and stage of life transitions.
-
This is incredibly common, especially for women and mothers. Therapy can help you understand that caring for yourself isn’t selfish, it’s essential. When you feel more grounded, it radiates to all parts of your life.
-
Finding the right therapist is really about how you feel when you’re talking with them. Do you feel comfortable? Heard? That sense of connection matters more than anything else. Prior to our first session I offer a free, brief consultation call. It’s a chance for you to share a little about what’s going on, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for how I work. There’s no pressure or commitment—just an opportunity to see if it feels like a good fit.
-
Sessions are a mix of conversation, reflection and practical tools. Some days we’ll process what’s been weighing on you, and other days we’ll focus on concrete strategies to help you better cope with what’s at hand.
-
This depends on your goals and needs. Some clients come for short-term support, while others stay longer for deeper work. We’ll regularly check in to make sure therapy is meeting your needs.
-
I offer both in-person and secure telehealth services for women seeking support with anxiety, perfectionism, perinatal mental health and perimenopause.
-
My fee is $150.00/session and I currently accept BCBS, CIGNA and United Healthcare.
If you are not insured with these carriers I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network coverage. It’s important that you contact your insurance company to determine your benefits prior to starting therapy.
